Meet Jade
I started attending board meetings and networking events at the age of 4. I was raised by a single Mom, and she brought me to events where I started learning how to look people in the eye, speak up, and give a firm handshake. I got promoted to attending conventions, setting up booths and learned the value of handing out her business cards and discussing the products’ efficacies.
17 years later, there are so many lessons learned that I apply in the business world today:
*Identifying the 4 communications styles, and applying them when I handle (challenging) customers.
*Solution-minded approach to situations and thinking on my feet.
*How to generate and follow up on leads.
*Writing business communications.
*The art of networking.
By college, I started an Asian Corporate and Entrepreneur Leaders (ACELeaders.org) collegiate chapter at Grand Canyon University. I balanced my studies with running club meetings and events, succession planning and taught the 4 communication styles that I learned from my Mom, to my collegiate friends.
Now, as a post-graduate Magna Cum Laude, I helped organize our 10th annual ACELing in Leadership Conference (with 375 attendees) and continue to advise ACEL-GCU’s board members.
